In 2003, jointly with the Shanghai Institute of Law and Economics (SILE), OYCF started to organize the writing and publication of a series of short Chinese books with a view towards popularizing various fields of law and economics in China.  This book series will highlight the interplay between law and economics, and it will target general readers. Under this project, OYCF and SILE plan to publish around 20 books on various fields of law and economics. Authors of the books are mainly members and associates of OYCF and SILE. The project is well under way, with six books already published by January 2006 on the economics of securities regulation, credit systems and the economic analysis of law.

In 2005, OYCF started an effort to publish quality research from its annual meeting series in book form. The first book based on annual meeting presentations has been published in Chinese in November 2006. The book, titled 乡村中国:改革中的农村、农民和农业 ( China's Rural Society, Peasants and Agriculture in the Reform Era), was edited by four OYCF members (Lei GUANG, Dongtao QI, Wei SHAN and Hao ZOU), and contains sixteen high quality papers. OYCF will continue to seek funding to support the book publication based on annual meetings in the future.
