Dear
OYCF members and friends:
During the last three very difficult days, our members and
friends quickly exchanged words by emails or phones, and so far, we
are aware of no friends within or affiliated with OYCF who have
suffered physical loss or injury. We will update you with additional
information when available. We also urge you to send us information
regarding any affected person and let us know how we can help. For
New York, please contact Li Qi at 646-207-2774 or liq2000@yahoo.com; for
Washington DC, please contact Zhuang Zili at 202-752-3819 or zili_zhuang@fanniemae.com;
and for Boston, please contact Zeng Min at 617-937-1412 or mz_oycf@hotmail.com.
This
tragedy is not only about New York, Pentagon or the U.S., it is also
about humanity. Our deepest sympathies are with all those who have
lost their loved ones or friends. We appreciate more than ever the
utmost importance of building bridges among different cultures and
beliefs of this world. We stay committed to helping build these
bridges.
At
this difficult time, many members are hoping to post messages of
sympathy or reflection. We encourage our members to use OYCF's BBS
on our newly constructed web site (http://www.oycf.org/BBS/bbsFrameset.htm)
for this purpose. You might experience some difficulty in accessing
our web site this week, and we appreciate your patience and
understanding. We also urge our members to show restraint, tolerance
and good judgment when posting messages. Malicious postings and
personal attack messages will not be tolerated and will be removed
from the BBS. It is our spirits of independence, freedom, tolerance,
good judgment, mutual respect and mutual support that hold us
together.
Best
wishes.
