Perspectives,
Vol. 1, No. 2
A
big fun of being co-editors, through constant
interactions with our authors, associate editors
and copy editors, is to witness articles and
arguments gradually being polished and sharpened,
and to learn a great deal in and out of our
own fields of study. This feeling is not the
same as that of a pure reader, we believe.
In
this second issue of "Perspectives,"
we continue to emphasize the diversity of the
themes covered while seeking a continuity in
some important topics we deem necessary to learn
and understand. We hope you will enjoy reading
the articles published here. As true believers
in the importance of free debate in clarifying
and stimulating our thinking, we also look forward
to receiving your responses to our published
articles. A short comment or note will serve
our purpose well, while a full-fledged critique
will be even better.
As
usual, we want to take this opportunity to thank
all those who have contributed their time and
effort, and to encourage the submission of your
beloved pieces, term papers, or a summary of
your grand thesis. All submissions and suggestions
should be sent to Bo LI at bo_li@post.harvard.edu
or Li-an ZHOU at zhoula@leland.stanford.edu.
