About
OYCF Annual Meeting
OYCF
organizes an annual meeting each spring. Usually held during the Memorial Day
weekend, the event sees 70 to 80 members and guests from diverse backgrounds
meet to exchange views on a variety of issues relating to China.
Together, we explore various factors that drive current and future changes in
China.
The annual meetings have been sponsored by the Center for East Asian Studies
and Confucius Institute of University of Chicago (2010), the Chinese
Finance Association and Chinese Business Lawyers Association
(2009), the Center for China-US Cooperation of University of Denver
and the Center for East Asian Studies of Stanford University (2008),
the Center for Chinese Studies of University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
(2007), and the Center for Asian Studies of University of California-Irvine.
In 2010,
OYCF published in Chinese a post-conference volume for the 2006 annual
meeting. entitled 《中国社会转型中的阶级》(Social Classes
in Transitional China) by the prestigious Social Science Academic Press (社会科学文献出版社) in Beijing, In
2006, OYCF published a post-conference volume for its 2005 annual meeting on
Rural China titled《乡村中国：改革中的农村、农民和农业》(China's Rural
Society, Peasants and Agriculture in the Reform Era). China.
