OYCF Ties Hand with "Open Times" 03/18/2000 In order to improve exchanges with friends in China and to expand the reach of "Perspectives" (an on-line electronic journal published by OYCF), OYCF has started a cooperative project with "Open Times" ("KAI FANG SHI DAI"), a bimonthly Chinese journal published by Guangzhou Academy of Social Science in Guangdong, China. New as it is, "Open Times" has been well-received in China. Starting from April 2000, two articles from each issue of the "Perspectives," selected jointly by the editors of "Perspectives" and "Open Times," will be published by "Open Times." The selected articles will be translated into Chinese by "Open Times," with final proof from the authors. Pursuant to the agreement, two kinds of articles will be the focus of the cooperation: (1) basic theory in social sciences and humanities (political science, economics, law, sociology, philosophy, etc), and (2) articles/commentaries concerning China, especially China's economic, social, cultural and political changes.
